In a tour of 10 (unexpectedly) romantic United States Cities, Yahoo! Travel mentions just one hotel in Pittsburgh -- the Priory Hotel! "For optimum romance, check into the Priory Hotel, a former Benedictine monastery on the City's North Side, with just 42 cozy rooms, a fireplace in the lobby, and an on call shuttle to downtown."
There are a number of means of traveling to and from the Priory Hotel and the Pittsburgh International Airport, which is located to the west of downtown Pittsburgh, about 20 miles away.
Door to Door Shared Shuttle Service
Super Shuttle will take travelers door to door to and from the airport. There may be other stops during the journey to drop off other passengers, but the shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at the Priory. Please note that reservations for Super Shuttle must be made in advance.
Public Transportation
The Port Authority’s 28X bus will take passengers from the airport to downtown Pittsburgh, where passengers can then take a short taxi ride to the Priory on the North Shore/ Deutschtown section of the North Side. The fare one way is $2.60 (please note this is subject to change).
