Then enjoy a production by one of Pittsburgh’s celebrated live performance companies: The Pittsburgh Symphony, the Pittsburgh Public Theater, the Pittsburgh Opera, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, or Civic Light Opera. You pick the restaurant, you pick the show! After exploring the Cultural District, head back to the Priory to relax in your elegant room with a bottle of complimentary champagne. Founded in 1939, The Pittsburgh Opera is the eighth-oldest opera company in the United States. In recent years, the company has been expanding its artistic vision in exciting new productions. Its success has culminated in the expansion of its season and the addition of a fifth main stage show.

Heinz Hall is home to the renowned Pittsburgh Symphony, as well as special concerts presented by the Symphony. Performances range from Tchaikovsky and Beethoven to swing music and Mr. Rogers.

The Pittsburgh CLO, a non-profit organization, produces live musical theater productions for the city of Pittsburgh. Each summer, the CLO season presents a wide range of shows, bringing the magic of Broadway to the Benedum Center.

Pittsburgh Public Theater - www.ppt.org



The Pittsburgh Public Theater was founded in the 1970s, as the Pittsburgh theater circuit was facing a dismal period. It has evolved into “Pittsburgh’s flagship professional theater,” according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
