The Grand Hall
Combining 19th-century elegance and sophistication with
all of the 20th-century amenities, Pittsburgh's Grand
Hall at The Priory is one of the area's most distinctive
meeting and banquet facilities.

The
grand organ, produced by A.B. Felgenmaker Organ Company
of Erie, Pennsylvania, still towers over the main floor
of the Grand Hall from the rear choir loft.

Erected in 1852, Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at The Priory
was originally St. Mary's German Catholic Church. Its
conversion to the Grand Hall has not only preserved
but accentuated the fundamental grandeur of the historical
Italianate style structure.

Welcome
to Pittsburgh's The Grand Hall at The Priory

Located adjacent to The Priory Hotel is the magnificent
Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory. The Grand
Hall, situated in the former St. Mary’s German
Catholic Church, offers a breathtaking space for weddings,
banquets, parties, charity events and gatherings of
all types.
Atmosphere
is the primary ingredient in every event at the Grand
Hall. Above, a spiraling mixture of barrel vaults culminate
in an elaborate 30 foot crossing dome. Powerful Corinthian
columns with gold leaf capitals accentuate the character
of the location. Museum-quality Austrian stained glass
windows ignite with sunlight.
The Grand Hall is designed to create memorable events
and celebrations, and accommodates 350 people for sit-down
dinners and up to 500 for cocktail-style receptions.
The Grand Hall’s chefs, trained at Nemacolin Woodlands
and the Hyehold Restaurant, prepare exquisite meals
which are served with white glove decorum.
The staff of the Grand Hall – with more than 50
years of collective experience in the hospitality industry
-- will assist with every facet of an event, from the
planning to the execution, assuring an affair of impeccable
taste and elegance.
