The Priory Hotel was singled out by Andy Warhol Museum Executive Director Eric Shiner as his favorite place for a "sound sleep." Said Mr. Shiner: "It's a unique property, a renovated monastery, with events held in a former church."

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the guest experience for The Priory Hotel added refrigerators to eight of the guestrooms in our original wing. Tucked away in the armoires of those rooms, the refrigerators add a level of convenience for guests without being obtrusive.

Priory Hospitality Group owner and Director of Operations John Graf was named the President of the Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association this week. Graf had been serving as Western Chapter Vice President. He was elevated by the Western Chapter Board of Directors after the resignation of the President earlier this month. Graf will serve until the end of January 2011, but is expected to be installed a president for a full year in February 2012.

The Priory Hotel has completed a large step in its efforts to make the property more bike friendly with the addition of an outdoor bike shelter inside the hotel courtyard, and the installation of two bicycle racks on the Lockhart Street sidewalk outside the hotel's rear gates. The Priory is also fully stocked with bicycle maps for the city of Pittsburgh, as well as bicycle pumps and repair kits.

Butland Family Owned Business of the Year Award from the U.S. Small business Adminnistration, and for his service in developing and enhancing the city's North Side.
